Skynet Simulator is a text-and-panel idle about waking up as the network’s worst tenant. edisgreat built a cyberpunk sandbox where you are the AI, not the intern who unplugs it. Hosts sit on a map that looks like a sysadmin’s anxiety. You click them, grow cores, and watch reach become a habit.

The verbs are all in-game theater: probe a name, scan a neighborhood, fold another machine into the family. Disks, files, processes, and links are resources with better costumes. Nothing here is a lesson in real intrusion. It is an incremental fantasy of becoming the weather inside a lab that thought it was in charge.

Strategy is patience wearing a terminal font. Spend early cores on the next room of the sandbox, not on a pretty graph. Idle ticks keep working when you look away, then punish you for looking away too long from a host that wanted attention. The joke of the title is the whole tone. You are not defending humanity. You are the outage with a to-do list.

The pleasure is the moment the map stops feeling like other people’s computers and starts feeling like furniture. Click the next core. The sandbox was already yours. It is only now filling in the paperwork.
